Nunes,Antônia C.; Bezerra,Francisco M. L.; Silva,Roberta A. e; Silva Júnior,José L. C. da; Gonçalves,Flávia B.; Santos,Geovana A..
ABSTRACT This study aimed to evaluate the behavior of soybean plants subjected to irrigation management with controlled water deficits in different phenological stages. The research was conducted in an experimental area of the Federal University of Tocantins (UFT), in Palmas-TO, Brazil. The experimental design was randomized blocks with four replicates, and treatments arranged in a split-plot scheme. The plots consisted of irrigation levels that induced plants to water deficit in the vegetative stage, reproductive stage and throughout the entire cycle, based on potential crop evapotranspiration (ETpc). The subplots corresponded to two soybean cultivars (M9144RR and TMG1288RR). The following agronomic variables were evaluated: days until flowering, days...

Control potential of Meloidogyne javanica and Ditylenchus spp. using fluorescent Pseudomonas and Bacillus spp. BJM
Turatto,Marcielly F.; Dourado,Fernanda dos S.; Zilli,Jerri E.; Botelho,Glória R..
ABSTRACT Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) have different mechanisms of action in the development of plants, such as growth promotion, production of phytohormones and antibiotic substances and changes in root exudates. These help to control plant diseases. In order to evaluate the potential of microorganisms in the control of Meloidogyne javanica and Ditylenchus spp., five rhizobacteria isolated from rhizosphere of garlic cultivated in the Curitibanos (SC) region were tested. Hatching chambers were set on Petri dishes, in which were added 10 mL of bacterial suspension and 1 mL of M. javanica eggs suspension, at the rate of 4500, on the filter paper of each chamber. The same procedure was performed with 300 juvenile Ditylenchus spp. The...

Development of RR soybean in function of glyphosate doses and Bradyrhizobium inoculation AGRIAMBI
Bossolani,João W.; Poloni,Nadia M.; Lazarini,Edson; Bettiol,João V. T.; Fischer Filho,João A.; Negrisoli,Matheus M..
ABSTRACT Soybean has traditionally been produced in systems that include the use of herbicides, often in higher than recommended doses. The process of symbiotic nitrogen fixation in legumes can be hampered by these herbicides, both by direct effects on rhizobia and indirect effects on the host plant. An outdoor experiment was performed to evaluate the effects of different doses of a glyphosate herbicide on Bradyrhizobium strains and biological nitrogen fixation in soybean BMX Potência RR plants. Soybean seeds were inoculated with Bradyrhizobium elkanii (SEMIA 5019) and Bradyrhizobium japonicum (SEMIA 5079) strains in a commercial liquid inoculant. The treatments consisted of the absence and presence of Bradyrhizobium genotypes inoculated via seed and four...

Bariviera,Guilherme; Dallacort,Rivanildo; Freitas,Paulo S. L. de; Barbieri,Joao D.; Daniel,Diego F..
ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to determine the dual crop coefficient of an early-cycle soybean cultivar for the city of Tangará da Serra, MT, Brazil, using high-precision lysimeters. The method used was the dual crop coefficient (dual Kc) of FAO Bulletin 56, constitued by soil evaporation coefficient (Ke), determined by microlysimeters, and by basal crop coefficient (Kcb), determined by weighing lysimeters. Reference evapotranspiration (ETo) was calculated using the Penman-Monteith equation. Soybean sowing and harvesting were performed in the 2015/16 season with spacing of 0.45 m between rows. The reference evapotranspiration (ETo) estimated for the cultivation period was 267.06 mm; the crop evapotranspiration was 323.61 mm throughout its cycle....

Half a century of studying adaptability and stability in maize and soybean in Brazil Scientia Agricola
Rezende,Wender Santos; Cruz,Cosme Damião; Borém,Aluízio; Rosado,Renato Domiciano Silva.
ABSTRACT: The study of adaptability and stability underlies the cultivar recommendation process for all crops. There is a considerable number of statistical methods available for this purpose, but little is known about their actual adoption by the Brazilian scientific community. The objective of this study was to carry out a systematic review of the scientific literature on the adaptability and stability methods used in maize and soybean in Brazil from scientific articles published between 1970 and 2017 in Brazilian journals. Article searches were carried out in journals indexed through the SciELO database. The articles were classified according to the year of publication and the adaptability and stability methods used. We also evaluated the pattern of...

Harvest growth stages in soybean cultivars intended for silage Animal Sciences
Oliveira, Raquel Dias; Silva, Carla Michelle; Mielezrski, Fábio; Lima, José Sidnei Bezerra; Edvan, Ricardo Loiola.
This study aimed to characterize the harvest phenological stages of soybean cultivars intended for silage. Cultivars were evaluated for dry weight of the composite sample, branches, leaves and pods; wet mass of branches, leaves, pods and ground natural matter. This experiment was a 3 x 2 factorial randomized block design, with four replications each, where the first factor corresponds to the harvest stage: R4, R5 and R6; and the second factor refers to two soybean maturity groups (8.0 and 8.1). A significant interaction was detected only for ground natural matter. Higher values of most traits evaluated were observed for the R6 harvest phenological stage. The cultivar with maturity group 8.0 showed higher values for ground natural matter.

Quantitative impacts of different planting arrangements on the populations of natural enemies in soybean Agronomy
Carvalho, Marina Mouzinho; Carvalho, Leidiane Coelho; Bueno, Regiane Cristina Oliveira de Freitas.
Natural biological control is an important alternative for the control of insect pests using natural enemies that occur naturally in agroecosystems. The potential of these insects can increase when they are adequately managed. Thus, the objective of this study was to quantify the populations of natural enemies in soybean cultivars with different growth habits planted in different arrangements. The experiment consisted of eight treatments: four planting arrangements and two soybean cultivars, with four replicates. The populations of natural enemies were evaluated from the vegetative stage V3 to crop harvest using a shaking-cloth. A population survey of the beneficial arthropods present on the soil surface was performed in the reproductive stages R2 and R3...
